The Kit: Your choice: Slow Cooker, Oven, Instant Pot, or a lidded pan on the Hob.
The Shopping List:
6-8 Chicken Thighs: Skinless and boneless.
The Sauce Base: ½ cup Soy Sauce, ⅓ cup Honey, 1 tbsp Tomato Purée, 3 cloves Garlic (minced), 1 tsp Ginger (ground), 1 tsp Garlic Powder.
The ReZen "Elevations" (Optional):
The Colour: 1 tbsp Black Treacle.
The Lift: 1 tbsp Marmalade (Grapefruit or Orange).
Method Temperature/Setting Time
Slow Cooker Low 5–6 hours
Oven 180°C (Fan) 30–35 minutes (covered)
Instant Pot Manual High Pressure 10 minutes (+ 5 min natural release)
The Hob Medium-Low (Lid on) 20–25 minutes
Don’t just eat the chicken! Choose your path to a full plate
The "Lorca Lane" (Light & Zesty)
The Starch: Fluffy Basmati Rice. (Tip: Stir in some chopped coriander or a squeeze of lime at the end).
The Veg: Steamed Broccoli or Pak Choi. Drizzle a little of that "Midnight" glaze over the greens for a professional look.
The "Comfort Classic" (British Style)
The Starch: Creamy Mashed Potato. The buttery mash acts as a sponge for that sweet, salty sauce.
The Veg: Simple buttered green beans or sugar snap peas. The "crunch" cuts through the richness of the chicken.
The "Scrounger" (Quick & Dirty)
The Starch: Crusty Bread. If you have nothing else, a warm baguette or thick-cut toast to mop up every last drop of the sauce is a triumph in itself.
Seal (Optional): Brown the chicken in a pan for 2 mins a side.
Mix: Whisk sauce ingredients and pour over the chicken.

The Gloss: Remove chicken, boil the sauce in a small pan for 5 minutes until it becomes a thick, syrupy lacquer. Pour it back over the chicken.
The Chef’s Secret (Pete’s Tip):
"If you’re doing the rice, cook it while the sauce is reducing at the end. It keeps the timing perfect so the chicken stays hot while the rice is fresh and fluffy."
The Sweet Ending (Mark’s Pairing):
"After that rich, mahogany glaze, you need a 'clean' finish. Try a simple lemon sorbet or a few of my Almond Macaroons—the crunch is a great contrast to the sticky chicken."
