Hola! We are Pete and Mark, originally from the UK, and we are thrilled to welcome you to our slice of paradise.
Not long ago, we decided to trade the ordinary for a dream, relocating to the sun-drenched farming plains near Lorca. REZEN.VILLAS is our ultimate passion project—a true labour of love dedicated to transforming a beautiful Spanish estate into a rustic rural retreat and a spacious holiday sanctuary for the future.
But more importantly, it is our legacy.
Our love for family holidays—fueled by years of villa adventures in Majorca—sparked a wanderlust that took us to all corners of the globe. Over time, it became clear that hospitality and hosting were simply in our blood.
Pete brings well over 35 years of professional culinary and hospitality experience, having previously owned a thriving pub, restaurant, and nightclub in the UK.
Mark dedicated over 25 years to inspiring young minds as a deputy head and mathematics teacher, backed by his passion for pure maths.
Our shared loves for interior design, entertaining, cooking, and enjoying a good glass of wine bind us together. We even successfully converted our UK garage into a bustling B&B space for two years, testing the waters before finally taking the plunge and moving to sunny Spain.
In 2011, our family grew beautifully with the adoption of three amazing brothers. While our eldest has now found his own place back in the UK, Leon and LJ live here with us. Both have learning difficulties under the umbrella of FASD and require a lot of love and support, which they receive in abundance here. They are a constant source of joy and laughter—you might even spot them lending a helping hand around the property! Rounding out our little pack is Fred, our friendly Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, who is always happy to greet guests with a wagging tail.
Our boys are the true inspiration behind this entire venture. As we always say:

Understanding firsthand the dedication and care required for loved ones with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), we designed Rezen.Villas to be a genuine haven of warmth, safety, and rejuvenation. We strive to provide a safe, effortless, and inclusive space where everyone's needs are met, and where you are always welcomed as part of our extended family.
Building this dream has been quite the adventure, complete with the inevitable trials of navigating local Spanish bureaucracy—a story we would love to share with you over a refreshing G&T! Today, we are thrilled to announce that we are officially licensed and happily welcoming guests across major booking platforms.
